[Mizushima] Daruma Folk Toy postcard

Daruma, daruma! Often found at temples and souvenir shops, daruma is a traditional Japanese doll with a round shape and many facial expressions.  Some say the doll has an angry appearance, but it is actually a look of preservation and strength, as a daruma symbolizes the will to never give up. The various colors of each daruma also have different meanings.  With this postcard, red is associated with good luck.
