Yumeji Takehisa (1884-1934) was a self-taught painter well known for art works of beautiful women (known as bijin-ga); often of geisha and courtesans. There is an actual museum (Takehisa Yumeji Museum) located in the heart of Tokyo in Bunkyō City.
