Dagashi

What is dagashi? It is a Japanese reference similar to that of junk food, but specifically of candy and snacks with discount prices. They are primarily marketed for children and the packaging comes in fun, bright colors and some contain a prize. It is much like the retro candy in the United States such as the candy bracelets, bottle caps and cracker jack.
