Kissaten Ai

This kissaten 喫茶店 (Japanese coffee shop) theme pack is inspired by my mother and my late Aunt Chiaki.  Together they started a small coffee shop in their hometown of Osaka which they rented while living in a tiny room upstairs.  During the Showa era, kissaten was popping up everywhere and known for its cozy, dimly lit space with jazz typically playing in the background.  Sadly, the traditional, old-school kissaten has disappeared due to the rise of trendy cafes and aging owners with no one to carry on the family business.
